NOTICE
of Initial Public Consultation on the Proposed Activity
1. Proposed Activity – Extraction of mineral resources at the “Folkmaņi” and “Kraujas” sand and sand-gravel deposits.
2. Location of the Proposed Activity – Land unit with cadastral designation 9080 003 0158, forming part of the real estate property “Folkmaņi” (Cadastral No. 9080 003 0049), located in Slampe Parish, Tukums Municipality, Latvia.
3. Project Proponent – SIA “Z AGRO”, Registration No. 40203261942, registered address: “Folkmaņi”, Slampe Parish, Tukums Municipality, Latvia.
4. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure was initiated by Decision No. AP22SI0038 of the Permit Administration Department of the State Environmental Service, dated May 5, 2022.
5. Description of the Proposed Activity – The extraction of sand and gravel is planned at the “Folkmaņi” and “Kraujas” deposits. The planned extraction area is approximately 8.682 hectares. Mineral resources will be extracted using an excavator and a front-end loader. The extracted material will be transported by trucks along the municipal road “Veckaļvas–Aizas–Rīga–Ventspils Road”.
6. Public Consultation Procedure – In accordance with the Law on the Management of the Spread of COVID-19 Infection, the public consultation will be conducted remotely from July 9 to August 10, 2022. 7. The initial public consultation meeting will be held remotely online on July 18, 2022, at 5:30 PM. Information on how to join the online meeting will be published on the website: www.geoeko.lv/#aktuali and the Tukums Municipality website before the meeting.
